The former 49ers wide receiver will have to wait to get into Canton.
And that's that. Terrell Owens, known to San Francisco 49er fans around the world for "The Catch II" among other things, will not be part of the 2016 class in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The wide receiver confirmed the news on Twitter.
Owens was drafted by the 49ers in the 3rd round of the 1996 NFL draft and after a hopeful rookie campaign, made a name for himself in the 1997 season when the 49ers lost Jerry Rice to a torn ACL.
