SANTA CLARA -- The 49ers have fielded calls from multiple teams inquiring about No. 3 quarterback C.J. Beathard's availability as Tuesday's NFL trade deadline approaches, a source told NBC Sports Bay Area.
The 49ers have been offered draft pick compensation in the “sixth-round range,” the source said Sunday. The 49ers are not inclined to make that deal for Beathard, whom the team selected with a compensatory pick in 2017 at the end of the third round (104th overall).
Coach Kyle Shanahan has a high opinion of the three quarterbacks on his roster, with Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Mullens ahead of Beathard.
