Anthony Davis is set to rejoin his former team.
The offensive tackle will report to 49ers training camp in Santa Clara, a source confirmed to CSNBayArea.com on Saturday.
Davis, who sat out the entire 2015 season, submitted paperwork on Monday for reinstatement off the league’s reserve/retired list.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Davis has been reinstated by the NFL.
On Tuesday, Davis' agent Drew Rosenhaus spoke about the 26-year-old's return.
“I’m confident that Anthony is ready to go to work with the 49ers and resume his career with them,” agent Drew Rosenhaus said on Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Radio.
