Washington offensive coordinator Sean McVay, the grandson of former 49ers executive John McVay, will interview for the 49ers’ head-coach opening Monday, a source said.
McVay, 30, is the NFL’s youngest coordinator, eight months younger than 49ers special teams coach Derius Swinton. McVay has spent the past seven seasons with Washington, coaching tight ends from 2010-13 before he was promoted to offensive coordinator.
He is also scheduled to interview with the Rams.
