The 49ers are expected to meet this week with Carolina Panthers free agent guard Amini Silatolu, according to a source.
Silatolu, 27, has appeared in 34 games with 28 starts in his injury-plagued four-year career. He started 15 games as a rookie for the Panthers at left guard in 2012 after being selected in the second round.
He has reportedly made visits to the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals.
Silatolu (6 foot 4, 320 pounds) appeared in nine games with three starts before tearing the ACL in his left knee in November. He sustained a torn right ACL in 2013 in his third game.
