The 49ers on Saturday acquired rookie center Nick Easton from the Baltimore Ravens in a trade, a source confirmed.
Easton, who went undrafted from Harvard, where he was a two-time first-team All-Ivy League selection while appearing in 24 games. He also earned Academic All-Ivy League honors.
It was not immediately known what the 49ers sent the Ravens in exchange for Easton (6 foot 3, 300 pounds) . The deadline for NFL teams to trim their rosters to 53 players is Saturday at 1 p.m. (PT).
Coach Jim Tomsula this week announced Marcus Martin will be the team’s starting center.
