Snow, they didn’t: 49ers reach new low in 26-6 loss in Chicago

CHICAGO -- Neither snow, nor melted snow, nor a horrendous opponent such as the Chicago Bears could prevent the 49ers from extending their losing streak Sunday.

In game that featured two poor teams, and even worse weather conditions, the 49ers fell 26-6 at slip-and-slide Soldier Field to extend their franchise-record losing streak to 11.

In game played in steadily falling snow, the 49ers (1-11) somehow fell to new depths: They finished with six net passing yards, the second-fewest in the franchise’s 70-yard history.

Colin Kaepernick completed 1 of 5 passes for 4 yards before he was replaced by Blaine Gabbert with the 49ers trailing 24-6 early in the fourth quarter.
