SANTA CLARA – Rookie cornerback Will Redmond made his debut in the exhibition on Friday night against the Green Bay Packers.
Redmond, whom the 49ers selected in the third round of the draft, returned to game action after his final season at Mississippi State was cut short due to a torn ACL.
Redmond played 18 snaps and recorded four tackles, two for losses, and a quarterback sack in the 49ers’ 21-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Levi’s Stadium.
Meanwhile, cornerback Kenneth Acker’s stock appears to have dropped to the point where he did not play even a snap of defense.
