We can now add another quarterback to the 2017 NFL Draft pool. Southern Methodist quarterback Matt Davis has entered the draft, according to his agent. Davis suffered a torn ACL last September, and there had been some thought he would seek a sixth year of eligibility.
Normally a player has to declare by early January, and subsequent players then become eligible for the supplemental draft. I believe he is eligible because he had used up his regular eligibility.
Davis has been all over the place throughout his college career.
