The San Francisco 49ers have had an uncharacteristic offseason, as they’ve been quiet in free agency, looking to lower their spending after years near atop the league in the category.
As a result, a number of key free agents have departed this offseason without many immediate returns, leaving the 49ers focusing more on the draft as they hope to get younger and cheaper.
The route is certainly an interesting one, as San Francisco still has quite the load of star talent on their roster, and could very well be the top team in the NFC West next season.
