When the San Francisco 49ers hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the bye week, the stadium was filled with pink. Players and fans alike wore the color in honor of breast cancer awareness month. The pink, coupled with both teams having red and gold tones as their team colors, made the blue shirts with the Superman-esque logo worn by several 49ers alumni on the sidelines stand out.
The shirts were a way to represent Colby Young, the son of 49ers alum Bryant Young, who recently passed at the age of 15 after a long and difficult fight with pediatric cancer.
