With the San Francisco 49ers‘ 2018 season all wrapped up, it’s time to begin focusing on how to improve the team’s roster. Apart from edge rusher, which is a problem, the next biggest issue would have to be the secondary.
Whether it be from injuries or just poor play, the Niners secondary did not have a good year, save for cornerback Richard Sherman.
Sherman had no interceptions, a product of his blanket coverage and opposing quarterbacks just never looking his way.
It’s this lack of action that prompted Sherman to speculate on eventually moving to free safety, much like Charles Woodson, Ronnie Lott and others had done in the past.
