There’s not a lot of needs the San Francisco 49ers have heading into 2020.
Coming off a tough loss in Super Bowl LIV, the Niners still boast a stacked roster. And despite some notable changes during the offseason, there’s little reason to believe head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad is anything but a championship contender heading towards the regular season.
That said, Shanahan and general manager John Lynch have never shied away from making upgrades on the roster where possible.
But let’s have a little bit of fun for a moment and envision a scenario where San Francisco could purge one player from each of their NFC West division rivals, improving its own crop and lessening the threat of those other teams.
