Former San Francisco 49ers right tackle Anthony Davis has made more than his fair share of hints regarding his seemingly inevitable return to the team in the very near future.
Davis, 26 years old, was a first-round pick and 11th overall for the 49ers during the 2010 NFL draft. He was a mainstay of a Niners offensive line that rode a wave of momentum to three consecutive NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl appearance between 2011 and 2013.
Injuries limited Davis to just seven games in 2014, and the five-year veteran shockingly retired just ahead of the 2015 season.
