San Francisco 49ers Re-sign Running Back Shaun Draughn to a One-Year Deal

The San Francisco 49ers knew they had to get some depth at the running back position for the 2016 season after featured back Carlos Hyde was lost to a foot injury during the latter half of last year.

“He certainly earned the respect of everyone in our organization for the way he handled himself, both on and off the field, and we are excited to have him back.” – general manager Trent Baalke on Shaun Draughn

Instead of trying to dip into the free-agent market for someone outside of the organization, the 49ers looked to running back Shaun Draughn to be a continued piece in the team’s offense.
