The San Francisco 49ers are in an excellent position heading into the 2019 NFL Draft.
While a 4-12 record in 2018 is disappointing, it at least netted general manager John Lynch the No. 2 overall pick in April’s draft. And in a class laden with quality pass-rushers, the Niners’ top need this offseason, Lynch will essentially have his choice of any eligible prospect not taken by the top-drafting Arizona Cardinals.
Or, just as possibly, Lynch takes advantage of other teams looking to move up to No. 2.
It’s not totally unlike what Lynch did during his inaugural draft back in 2017, moving from the No.
