Known for his up-tempo offense, Coach Kelly tried to implement his style with the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers. Kelly did achieve success with the Eagles at the beginning of his tenure. Unfortunately, the personnel decisions and defenses solving Kelly’s offense drove him out of Philly.
Kelly was fully aware of the rebuilding process happening with San Francisco. Instead of getting an opportunity to re-ignite the 49ers, he was dismissed after one season. His dismissal was just another example of Jed York not having a clue about running a football franchise. Jim Harbaugh could still be in San Francisco had York kept to just writing paychecks.
