We saw San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan put yet another stamp on his offense this offseason, bringing in former Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon to replace former Niners tailback Carlos Hyde.
McKinnon will be the starter in 2018 despite never having crested 600 yards rushing over his four-year career.
Numbers aren’t so important, though, as Shanahan will look to exploit McKinnon’s traits and attributes at a level fans never quite saw in Minnesota.
Meanwhile, the Niners have additional depth questions at the position as the offseason begins to ramp up even more.
