One of the benefits the San Francisco 49ers enjoyed this offseason was having a great deal of salary cap space heading into free agency.
When general manager John Lynch took over earlier this offseason, the Niners boasted nearly $100 million in available cap.
This, of course, allowed Lynch to spend relatively liberally and bring in free agents to help turn around what was a 2-14 franchise.
As of now, the 49ers still have a huge amount of space available — $66,872,779, per Over the Cap, which is tops in the NFL.
