As the 2019 NFL preseason came to a close, and the San Francisco 49ers had to make their final cuts en route to their finalized 53-man roster, many tough decisions came along with that.
The top 40 or so players who made the roster were pretty obvious. No surprises there. But as it got down to the last handful of players to make the roster, some decisions could’ve gone either way.
Safety Adrian Colbert was one such player many thought would be on the roster at the start of the season. He had a promising rookie year in 2017.
