The San Francisco 49ers 2017 season was always labeled as a “rebuilding” year.
Rightfully so, coming off a horrendous 2-14 2016 campaign that saw most of the coaching staff looking for other jobs.
Fast forward a year. A new coaching staff lead by up-and-coming offensive genius Kyle Shanahan as the Niners head coach, followed by an almost complete roster turnover. Everyone knew the 49ers were starting over.
There was always hope, though, fans were excited for the season to come. The season came, and in their first eight games, the 49ers were staring right into the eyes of a 0-8 record.
