Unlike the NBA, MLB or NHL, it’s rare to see blockbuster deals take place in the NFL.
Unless, of course, you’re the San Francisco 49ers and pull off two of the greatest heists during the 2017 season.
The most recent one, acquiring quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo from the New England Patriots for a second-round NFL Draft pick, looks like an absolute steal. Even if it stemmed from rumored dysfunction and tension within the Patriots organization.
And the first? Well, general manager John Lynch flashed his savvy ways by fleecing the Chicago Bears in Round 1 of last year’s draft.
