Trades at the NFL trade deadline aren’t quite as big or notable as, let’s say, the NHL or in MLB. But that doesn’t mean the 1-5 San Francisco 49ers should avoid exploring the market.
The Niners’ 2018 season is awash, primarily after a slew of impact injuries including season enders to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and running back Jerick McKinnon. The secondary has been banged up. So has the wide receiver corps.
Take away the injuries and solve some of the self-inflicted wounds, the 49ers would still likely be talking about a playoff push.
