On the March, the San Francisco 49ers signed veteran wide receiver Travis Benjamin to a one-year deal as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Benjamin spent the last four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. But his 2019 season was cut short due to injury, after appearing in only five games.
Benjamin was a fourth-round (100th overall) pick of the Cleveland Browns back in the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent his first four seasons with the Browns, including one under then-Cleveland offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, who now makes his home with the Niners as head coach.
