The San Francisco 49ers got their first extended look at rookie safety Marcell Harris in Week 13, as he started at strong safety against the Seattle Seahawks. Jaquiski Tartt started at free safety in place of an injured Jimmie Ward, which got Harris his first start in only his fourth appearance as a rookie.
Harris had some positive moments, but he showed he has plenty of work to go. Harris opened the season on injured reserve, and made his first appearance in Week 9. He played six defensive snaps and 16 special teams snaps that week.
