The San Francisco 49ers may have yet to hold an official press conference for their new HC Chip Kelly but that didn’t stop the team’s scouting department from doing their ‘due diligence’ on an Oregon Duck quarterback.
Shortly after the first day of East/West Shrine Bowl practice concluded, a 49ers scout was seen talking to Oregon QB Vernon Adams.
Adams, 5-11, 201, is a smaller quarterback but one who is also very familiar with Kelly’s spread offense as he transferred from Eastern Washington to Oregon in 2015.
QB Vernon Adams is a 2-time Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Year (2013, 2014).
