I caught up with San Francisco 49ers ILB Michael Wilhoite this afternoon during the team’s open locker room session and he shed some light with me on his high-ankle sprain. An injury he suffered during the Arizona Cardinals game in Week 12, in which he recorded four tackles (two tackles for loss), Wilhoite re-injured it the following week which forced him to miss the Cleveland Browns game altogether.
“It was in Arizona first and then it happened again on the first play of the second drive against Chicago,” Wilhoite told me.
We just have to see
Wilhoite, who currently ranks second on the team in tackles (85) told me he is optimistic on returning this season.
