Sadistic schedule? Tomsula not complaining about short-week trek to East Coast

Sometimes the NFL schedule doesn’t seem fair.

Consider the 49ers’ plight this week: After playing Monday night, they will have to travel 3,000 miles to meet to the Steelers on Sunday, and the home team will have been off for nine days.

Oh, yeah, the game will start 10 a.m. on the West Coast.

Did 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula want to place a call to NFL schedule czar Howard Katz when he saw the scenario? Tomsula said he wasn’t about to boo-hoo.

“No, sir,” Tomsula said today.
