The 2019 NFL Draft is less than a week away. What the 49ers should do with the No. 2 pick has been discussed at length. What hasn’t gotten nearly as much press is what they should do next. The 49ers’ second-round pick, No. 36, is just four spots removed from the first round. There will be impact talent available and it’s imperative that general manager John Lynch lands a starter with this pick.
Two of the strongest positions groups in this draft class are at wide receiver and safety. Both are also significant needs on the 49ers’ still rebuilding roster.
