One of great things about the 49ers that has changed since John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan have arrived in Santa Clara is the connection to it’s history. When the team first opened Levi’s Stadium there was no connection to the past, no evidence it existed when you sat in your stadium seat. While there are plenty of murals and artwork in the hallways and lounges, there were none to be seen when you were in your seat outside of “Five time Super Bowl Champions” painted underneath the press box.
Some point the fingers at Jim Harbaugh who was creating “new history” for the 49ers.
