Ronnie Lott likes what he’s seeing with the 49ers, but the Hall of Famer far from convinced their defeat Thursday is a win-for-losing situation.
Lott gave an impassioned plea Friday for the 49ers and their fans to stop seeing Thursday loss to the Rams as a W despite the L, as Bay Area News Group columnist Dieter Kurtenbach argued. Though Lott added that San Francisco is making progress, he summarily dismissed the idea that a team can find victory in defeat.
“The moral victory thing… I know how we feel, I know how people are thinking — and yet, I walked out of there, I was a little disappointed, because I thought it was a win there,” Lott told KNBR’s Murph & Mac show.
