NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has studied the film, the way all obedient lace-heads do, and he knows exactly what happened with Colin Kaepernick and his terrible, horrible, no good, very botched workout.
Kaepernick, Goodell said, “chose not to take” an “incredible opportunity.”
If you weren’t around in the 1970s, more’s the pity. Late night television featured waves of smarmy, insincere used car salesman wearing sport coats made from old casino carpets. Those guys were always promising incredible opportunities, too.
“I haven’t thought about this in a few weeks,” Goodell said according to Pro Football Talk. “This was, as I’ve said to you before, about creating an opportunity.
