San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman negotiated his own contract with the team during the 2018 offseason, and was criticized by many who felt Sherman signed a bad deal that placed too much weight on incentives.
After a stellar 2019 season that saw Sherman hit the incentives in his contract, the cornerback took to Twitter Friday asking fans to find old takes from those who criticized the contract he negotiated.
Most of the tweets Sherman shared and poked fun at were mostly harmless, but things took a strange turn when Sherman confronted ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, who traded barbs with Sherman last year over his contract.
