San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman told reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday that he has been recruiting former Seahawks teammate Earl Thomas to the 49ers, and believes he will choose between the 49ers and Cowboys when free agency officially opens in March.
Sherman said there is “serious interest” between Thomas and the 49ers, but the Dallas Cowboys are still “very much in the mix” for the services of the All-Pro safety.
“There’s obviously a clear and easy fit,” Sherman said. “If the money’s equal, if all things are equal, he’s going to Dallas.
