Any San Francicso 49ers fans still annoyed with the team’s inexplicable 29-22 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday can at least take solace in the fact that Jim Tomsula is no longer the head coach.
It doesn’t even qualify as a silver lining, but it’s something.
Tomsula’s name was dredged back up thanks to 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, who spoke to Bleacher Report’s Tyler Dunne for a wide-ranging profile published Tuesday.
When asked about his decision to join the 49ers in the 2018 offseason, Sherman said he chose San Francisco thanks to scheme familiarity under defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who was an assistant in Seattle from 2011-2013.
