Report: Tank Carradine out 4-6 weeks, MRI ‘relatively clean’

The San Francisco 49ers received the results of defensive end Tank Carradine’s MRI and it came back “relatively clean,” according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. This is good news, but he’s still dealing with a high ankle sprain, and is looking at missing four-to-six weeks, according to the report.

That time frame would suggest that short-term injured reserve is not a foregone conclusion for him. But it does mean the 49ers are going to be without him, Reuben Foster (also dealing with a high ankle sprain) and Eric Reid in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals.
