More than a month after the 49ers waived quarterback Dylan Thompson, he is reportedly getting a chance with another NFC West team.
Thompson, 24, will sign a contract with the Los Angeles Rams, the NFL Network reported on Monday.
The quarterback originally signed with the 49ers last year as an undrafted rookie from South Carolina. He earned a spot on the 49ers’ practice squad to open the season, then was promoted to the active roster when Colin Kaepernick was placed on injured reserve.
In his rookie year, Thompson did not appear in a game while suiting up for seven games.
