The San Francisco 49ers will need to make some decisions at linebacker depth in the coming weeks and possibly devote a pick in the draft. NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted they will be hosting Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Korey Toomer on Wednesday.
Toomer has bounced around the league since 2012, beginning with the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad. His most productive seasons were in 2016 and 2017 with the Chargers, starting in eight games each of those seasons and notching two sacks in that two-season span. Beyond his time with the Chargers, Toomer hasn’t started in any games and has very little in the way of statistics as well.
