Colin Kaepernick’s attorneys have reportedly told the NFL they want the owners of a handful of teams — including the 49ers’ Jed York — to provide depositions in connection with the quarterback’s collusion case against the league.
Dallas’ Jerry Jones and Houston’s Bob McNair are among the owners who will be asked to turn over cell-phone records and emails during the deposition process, ESPN reported. Kaepernick’s attorneys are also requesting Seattle owner Paul Allen and head coach Pete Carroll participate in depositions. Email communication from the Seahawks, Titans and Ravens is also being requested, according to reports.
Since Kaepernick opted out of his 49ers contract in March, the Seahawks have been the only team to host him for a free-agent visit.
