Cornerback Chris Culliver is expected to sign with the Miami Dolphins, who hope he can return from knee surgery and help their thin secondary.
The deal with for one year and can be worth up to $5 million, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Culliver tore ACL and MCL ligaments in his right knee during practice last Thanksgiving with Washington, and they released him in May. He had signed a $32 million, four-year deal with Washington in March 2015 after four years with the San Francisco 49ers.
Culliver has 26 career starts and seven interceptions.
