Lost in all the preseason shuffle yesterday was a report that came out Friday via NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco. Maiocco reports the Cleveland Browns offered the 49ers Amari Cooper plus a second- and fifth- round draft selection in exchange for wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
Much like the New England Patriots, Aiyuk was the one who put the kibash on it. Or as Maiocco says it was, “not one of Aiyuk’s preferred destinations.”
Now that trade above: Cooper, a second, a fifth, and maybe another third if Cooper walked in free agency (via comp picks).
