Manny Lawson will reportedly be looking for a new home.
The Bills will release the linebacker, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 49ers selected Lawson in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.
He appeared in 64 games (56 starts) over five seasons in San Francisco, recording 14.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
He played for the Bengals in 2011 and 2012, and for Buffalo the past three seasons.
Last year, he made 14 starts.
Lawson is 32 years old.
