Most of former general manager Trent Baalke’s draft picks have survived the 49ers’ offseason purge, but running back Mike Davis is no longer among them.
The 49ers will cut Davis, a 2015 fourth-round pick, who averaged 2.0 yards on 54 career carries, the NFL Network reported. Davis is expected to be the last veteran released to make room for an 18-man class of undrafted rookies. On Tuesday, the 49ers released 13 players.
The 49ers’ 90-man offseason roster is expected to have 50 players who weren’t with the team on Feb. 21. Of the Baalke draft picks general manager Lynch inherited when he was hired in January, 27 of 31 remain on the roster.
