Tony Jerod-Eddie is remaining with the 49ers, who again need his versatility for their suspect defensive line.
Jerod-Eddie agreed to a one-year, $1.3 million deal, the NFL Network reported Monday as the 49ers began their offseason program. The 49ers did not immediately confirm the signing, nor did Jerod-Eddie’s agent return a call seeking comment.
The 49ers let Jerod-Eddie test the market after not tendering him the minimum, $1.67 million contract as a restricted free agent.
After arriving as an undrafted rookie in 2012 out of Texas A&M, Jerod-Eddie has played in all but one game since 2013, and he’s made four starts.
