SANTA CLARA — The 49ers are determined to make sure Kyle Shanahan gets a Super Bowl ring.
With three years remaining on the contract Shanahan signed in 2017, the 49ers tacked on another six years in the form of an extension that will keep the head coach tied to the franchise through 2025, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The deal reportedly will make Shanahan one of the NFL’s five highest-paid coaches.
