The Sports Business Daily is reporting that the 49ers will play a regular-season game against the Los Angeles Rams in China during the 2018 season.
The game likely would serve as the Rams' home-opener, the Business Daily said, citing sources. Reports surfaced in March that the NFL wants to expand its international presence into China, and the Rams were one of the teams picked to play there. NFL commissioner Rogere Goodell has confirmed that several teams want to play a game in China.A game in China would have to receive approval at an owners meeting in October, the Business Daily said.
