SANTA CLARA — Kyle Nelson, the 49ers’ long snapper since 2014, has been suspended 10 games, according to an ESPN report.
Neither the 49ers nor the NFL immediately confirmed the report.
Last week, the 49ers worked out five long snappers: former Raider Jon Condo, Tanner Carew, Lucas Gravelle, Colin HOlba and Taybor Penner, according to long-time NFL reporter Howard Balzer.
Nelson, 32, is scheduled to become a free agent after this season. The 49ers (2-10) host the Denver Broncos (6-6) on Sunday.
