Referee Pete Morelli and his crew were reportedly pulled from working Sunday night’s game due to officiating errors in the 49ers’ game Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Morelli and his crew, which were originally scheduled to work the prime-time Indianapolis-Pittsburgh game, have been reassigned to Sunday's New England-Philadelphia game, according to Pro Football Talk.
“With the exception of the referee, officiating crews are not announced publicly in advance of gameday,” NFL spokesman Michael Signora told CSNBayArea.com. “Schedules change throughout the season for a variety of reasons, and we do not comment on why officials are assigned to specific games.
