Rapper Meek Mill has Colin Kaepernick’s back.
In lyrics revealed to Page Six, Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, touches on Kaepernick’s struggles getting back to the NFL after kneeling in protest police killings of people of color.
“They won’t lynch him by hanging from a tree. They lynch his bank account,” Meek rapped in a song yet to be released.
“They told Kap to stand up if you want to play for a team, and most of his teammates said the same thing,” Mill continued. “Back in the ’30s you would be killed if you kneeled.
