A bit of NFC West news now that the Combine is underway: The Los Angeles Rams and quarterback Matthew Stafford have agreed to a restructured deal. The terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed as of this writing.
If you’re wondering why this is on a San Francisco 49ers site, it’s the Rams (a division rival), it’s their Super Bowl-winning quarterback, and for a moment it seemed like the 49ers would be facing Jimmy Garoppolo in 2025 instead.
While that means the Rams won’t be trading Stafford this year, it’s fair to think they may make a move in the draft to get their quarterback of the future.
